Hello, my name is Dr. Maxwell Wertheimer. You may know me from my work with the Gestalt Theory, or maybe you've heard of the Phi Phenomenon. My ideas relate to images, and how your brain processes. I believe your brain processes from whole to part, meaning that you see a complete image before seeing the pieces that make it up. As a college professor, it is of the upmost importance to me that I understand the best way that my students learn and process. In your textbook, on page 308, it says "imagery can support memory if the information t be learned lends itself to images-it is easier to form an image for car then for internal combustion." The chapter also states that students are able to better retain knowledge if they can associate a topic with a photo.

Question:
With this information in mind, do you think schools are doing a good job today of using imagery to it's full potential? In what ways could it be improved? Do you agree that imagery is a large part of learning?
